Assigning your phone number

Now you have a phone number, what do you do with it?

Now that you have a phone number with Sipharmony (purchased or ported), you're probably wondering what to do with it!

A phone number is the root of any phone system. Everything starts with a phone number.

First, lets go to our phone numbers by clicking Start > Settings > Phone Numbers

From here, click on the the icon to select a phone number.

Configuring a phone number

The most important things in a phone number are:

• Destination

  • Where do we send callers when they dial this number?

  • You can send a call to various areas of the system

• Default Caller ID Name

  • This name will be used as the caller id name when dialing out. Because of STIR/SHAKEN regulations, this setting might not be honored by mobile carriers

• Default Caller ID number

  • All users must have a Caller ID Number assigned to them to dial out. Setting this will set the default Call ID Number for all users.

  • You can individually change a users Caller ID Phone Number in the user's settings
